Multiple Mechnical Trainer (MMT)

This unit is designed to provide maintenance and operations personnel hands-on exposure
to a variety of common mechanical situations inherent to industrial processes, and allows personnel to progress through the full range of required skills using one comprehensive training unit.

Development of skills associated with vertical and various horizontal ‘shaft alignment’, ‘gear drives’, ‘belt drives’, ‘chain drives’, ‘pump maintenance’, and ‘lock-out/tag-out’ can be achieved through full employment of this unit.

All components are mounted on a sturdy metal table with locking casters and all non-contacting surfaces will be powder coated with a high-durability process. Overall dimensions of the unit are 36” wide X 84” long X 60” tall.

COMPONENTS:

  • Variable speed 1 hp DC drive motor controlled through a NEMA size 1 starter with control transformer, main breaker, overload heaters, start/stop switches, off/on lights, all mounted in a NEMA 4 enclosure.
  • Total of 5 bearings; 2 pillow block, 2 flange mount, and 1 tapered.
  • Vertical shaft alignment tower
  • 5 various couplings including elastomer element, steel grid and chain type
  • Centrifugal pump complete with bearings and seals
  • 2 right angle drives
  • Belt drive assembly
  • Chain drive assembly
  • Rotating device driven by chain assembly
  • Acrylic guards over all exposed moving parts
FDST – FLASH DRUM SEPARATOR TRAINER

Many industrial processes deal with separation of volatile gasses disolved in a liquid.
Separation and recovery of the components is normally achieved using a flash drum.
BTTC has designed our FDST to allow visual observance and physical control of the
‘flash drum’ process during the separation of water saturated with carbon dioxide.
The dedicated control panel operates flow, pressure, and temperature measurement
devices required to achieve the separation process within operating parameters.

EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Entire unit mounted on a metal structure with casters
  • Pump for water phase
  • Acrylic Flash Drum (separator tank)
  • Electric heater (in flash drum)
  • Pre-carbonator
  • Carbon dioxide bottle
  • Electronic analyzers
  • Flow meters
  • Pressure controllers
  • Operates on 240 volt single phase power
  • All static metal surfaces powder coated for durability and corrosion prevention
  • Approximate overall dimensions: 34” wide X 48” X 60” high

Cut-away Rack Assembly

These stainless steel electro chrome plated cut-away racks add a unique and beneficial twist to standard cut-away training aids.

The component set up may vary according to customer needs, while the ideal objective is to place relative pieces in the most common positions or "real world" scenarios. We will mount cut-aways from our inventory or take shipment on equipment to be cut-away and mounted.
